• Granbury team leader and Senior Regional Missionary • With SPSE since 2015 • Please tell us a bit about yourself: Your family life, profession, education, background, etc. I am happily married with three children, four grandchildren, and a beloved stepdaughter. I’m a retired trial lawyer and a convert to Catholicism (2005) from being an evangelical Episcopalian. I am now an apostolic Catholic. • Describe your team - size, location, frequency of outings, etc. I was formerly the leader of the Dallas Uptown team for seven years. After recently moving to Granbury I’m working to build a new team while assisting other teams in the Fort Worth area. • How has God worked in and through your SPSE team? God leads us into many wonderful encounters to bring the truth, beauty, and goodness of Catholicism to mankind. We share the faith where they are at and we pray for them, which everyone really appreciates. • What motivates you to evangelize? or What led you to SPSE? I have always had the desire for the glory of God through the salvation of souls. Years ago I learned that this is the real business of life. • What is the relationship between evangelization and your spiritual life (prayer)? Without the interior life there can be no external work. Prayer is over all. Evangelization is the fruit of prayer. • Is there a scripture passage that you turn to often, or a favorite part of Mass? I love the image of the vine and the branches, the parable of the prodigal son, and the devout reception of Our Lord in the Eucharist. • Is there an obstacle you have overcome while leading your team? (Tell me about it.) The main obstacle in team leadership is always team motivation. But that’s true with any group. • Can you share an "elevator speech" version of your testimony of God's work in your life? By the grace of God I am a faithful Catholic in a state of grace. Provided I remain so united to God when I die, trust in His promise that I will enjoy eternity with Him in exquisite joy.
