That sounds like a good approach. Pray specifically for the courage to speak. Also, I’ll say that often such prayer brings the courage, but doesn’t take away the fear completely. Then, after you face your fears and speak, courage grows even more.

A simple question like, “Why don’t you go to Church anymore?” can be a catalyst for the workings of grace in someone’s life. Keep praying for that guy!
