It’s good to suggest to people who haven’t been to confession in a while to ask the priest for help. Most priests would be happy to lead them through step-by-step, helping them to examine their conscience.

ParticipantThat’s amazing. Welcome home to the Mystical Body of Christ! Continue to evangelize as the Spirit leads you but put your main focus on preparing for your Confirmation. This Lent is your desert time, like the Lord’s time in the desert before he began his ministry.
Also, welcome to SPSE! Please let us know if you need anything!

ParticipantExcellent, Benjamin! Welcome to the SPSE family!

ParticipantGood reflections! Very apt now during Lent.
I like the evangelization method you share, here. Any good stories from it?
How might you use the Holy Eucharist as a door to sharing the Good News?

ParticipantBeautiful thoughts, Ruben! That insight on the Sacraments as “pouring out” of grace upon us is important to our Catholic faith and a useful thing to talk about when evangelizing.
Did you read a particular text on salvation? Was it the recommended one or something else?
March 6, 2026 at 11:48 am in reply to: Pract. Act. for Theo of Evang Course 1: “In Many and Various Ways”: Covenants #11298Mark J Hornbacher
ParticipantGood reflections, Ruben!
When I think of these covenants and the Gospel, I think of that “reset” of creation and renewal of covenant you mentioned, as something to share when sharing the gospel. Jesus died for us so that creation could be “reset” and “renewed” in us through our relationship of faith to Him. And the process of this “reset” takes place as we “leave place A to go to place B” (like you mentioned) moving from sin to holiness and eventually eternal life.
These are ways that the old covenants are similar to the new, and I think these similarities are important when preaching the Gospel, not just the differences.I hope this is helpful!
