Dennis, Do not overlook a V.F.W. Clinics or Hospitals, you may need to get permission however there should be an appointed public affairs representative to contact. Also Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in your area. Many hold different events during the month which do not require you to be a member. Some public events are breakfast or dinners on certain days. The VFW Commander would be a good contact to start with. Another might be a place for young high school age to hangout like a community center operated by the city or county. Don’t forget Senior Centers as well. Ours holds regular coffee and tea gatherings, and other social events during the month. We post a calendar of events monthly. We also have an indoor sports center where hundreds of kids and parents come weekly to play basketball or volleyball. I have received permission from the owner to set up my E.W.T.N.table in the lobby. I am surprised at how many parents are unaware of the cable channel. Good luck and keep plugging away. Save one soul at a time, that is all he asks of us .

Darrell, Glad to have you on board. I can tell by your background and with the Holy Spirit in your camp all will go well. When we are accustomed to talking to total strangers as part of those days when we were employed, the skill stays with us, our hearts are in the right place and what greater story is there to be told.

I found the video to be helpful. The topics covered were educational. I have been an E.W.T.N. Media Missionary going on two plus years. I have setup my table and engaged people from all walks of life. I make them aware of the cable channel (in our area) and invite them to watch one of the programs on the program guide. Little or no training was given, this was done out of a calling I received to evangelize for our Church. Turns out I have given out over 400 hundred Virgin Mary Miraculous Medals and many prayer cards. I feel SPSE is more structured and diverse in its mission. I will continue to work through the programs offered. I appreciate all the hard work and time required in putting this together.
Thank you and God bless all.

I loved the “arm in the turbine” story. I would love to use it with your permission. Sometimes people cannot grasp the situation until they are drawn into a story with words. God’s love for his people is so great and eternal that many times we forget how great his love is, we think he abandoned us and like most of us we think it is all about us. I try to draw sinners to prayers, the lonely to prayers, the hard hearted to prayers. Prayers are powerful, there is a prayer for every situation as there is a Saint to pray to for every situation. Amen, Amen!!

I print small 4 X 6 cards with the name, address, website address along with the telephone number of my parish. I also direct them to the “Catholic Answers” website. Conclude with a short prayer for them to read and ask for forgiveness from the Lord. Most times I offer a Miraculous Mary medal or a crucifix for them to take with them. (I carry a supply in a rosary pouch on me.)

Maricela all that you do for your friend is spiritual. The Holy Spirit is working through you. Blessings to you and your friend.

I find that when I am engaged with someone, the fact that I wear a crucifix around my neck helps when we are talking about one’s personal spiritual suffering. When I remind them that the Lord suffered for us, let us suffer with him. I hand them a crucifix metal and ask them to wear it or carry it with them. I tell them when life gets hard or when you find yourself in a dark place, place it in your hand near your heart and ask Jesus to enter your heart and remove the darkness. Remind them that Jesus is always walking with them. Be not afraid to talk to the Lord, his love is endless. Amen.
