    Hey everyone,
I’m wondering if any have advice on how to recruit new team members to join the SPSE team. I feel like this is currently the limiting factor for getting my team to be more active in evangelizing — I.e. finding fellow committed team members with a heart for evangelization. Does anyone have any advice? Some of my closest Catholic friends are not interested for one reason or another (my theory is that it’s the initial discomfort in going out there and evangelizing). I would love to be more active, but without a team I find this nearly impossible. There’s a reason Jesus sent them out two by two, and right now I feel like I’m a one man show. What do I do? Go out there by myself anyway? Or do I have to wait until a fellow laborer happens to come along? Do my evangelizing efforts have to be dependent upon waiting for another person to get the inspiration from the Holy Spirit? This doesn’t seem like that’s what I should do, but at the same time going out solo also doesn’t feel like a particularly great way to do it either. I would love others’ feedback and input on this. Thanks so much.

I faced the same thing a few years back. even after a SPSE Basic Evangelization event attended by our bishop. Fortunately my wife would go with me, as I didn’t want to go against protocol and go alone. Personal contact with fellow Catholics I believe is best, letting people know how SPSE works and convey they don’t have to say anything but pray on the side. I also had limited success with Charismatic Prayer groups and even the Knights. Don’t give up and pray, pray, pray! God is faithful and wants souls touched for His kingdom. “Remind” Him of that in prayer. Blessings, Dcn Alex

      Dear Jacob Keyes,
Two years ago I faced the dilemma that you describe; I decided to go out on my own.

This forum environment is unwieldy for me. I’ve already lost 4 messages trying to write to you here in more detail.

Please email me at jeromelackner@protonmail.com to discuss my experiences.
