I have a similar experience in my family. My mother and father were very active in our parish. My father coached CYO basketball for 25 years. my mother worked at the rectory for at least 10 years. I have two older brothers and a younger sister, they all attended Catholic grade school and my two brothers went to four years of Catholic high school. None of them practice the Catholic faith. My oldest brother seems to be an agnostic or atheist. My brother Steve lives in Maui. He sometimes asks me to pray for him, or especially his friends. He does say he prays too. but it doesn’t seem like he has a relationship with the Lord. My sister goes to church and has been active in the churches she attended; but she has been in a long term relationship with another women. They both go to church. My sister is extremely generous, she even donated a kidney to me.

I have chosen to pray for my brother Steve in Maui. I have a book I plan to give him; a biography of Johnny Cash that focuses on his relationship with Jesus, written by a Protestant evangelist. Like many, Steve’s career as a camera man has come to a stand still because of Covid. He may have to return to Pennsylvania (where I live) if he can’t find some work. I interact with him by phone and I am making it a point to call him more often. I pray for all of my siblings, often asking the Lord to put a Christian in their path so they can hear the message of the tremendous Good News. Christopher
