    Hello kjsspei,
I had a chance yesterday but did not do well. While at a the 40DayforLife Prayer Vigil a Baptist approached trying to evangelize me! Felt like I was in a boxing ring and always defending. Also I really didn’t want to engage him but my motivation was split, I’m there praying for the babies, parents and workers while also knowing that a ‘commotion’ in front of the PP would likely disincline an abortion minded woman from entering giving her more time to reflect. Naturally later I thought of all I should have done 🙂 Right now in my daily life I don’t have much interaction with non-Catholics.

I’ll 2nd kjsspei. Being a motorcycle guy myself, asking about his bikes will almost for sure bring offers to return and “talk”. Sadly in my life “someday” is just code for never.

I had a wonderful “one good reason” talk with a fellow 40DaysForLife Prayer Vigil person on the hour drive over to the site yesterday. We each played a couple types Christian non-Catholic, Active Atheist, Worldly hedonist. It was an eye opening enjoyable experience the time flew by.
This wasn’t a “fair” test of my One Good Reasons but is really did help flesh out my reasons. She is a devout Catholic and I don’t believe she pushed back too hard. But I do now feel better equipped. My 1st Good Reason is the Resurrection of Jesus while her’s is the Eucharist.
    This is an excellent course.

Yes this is a part of the reason for joining, but our small town, Belfast Maine, has without my notice gone very “woke”. We have started Prayer Vigils at the abortion facility being witness of God’s love with peaceful presence on the sidewalk. So we want to be a presence on the main street this spring.

Yes he was talking about the Bible as that is what I was talking about with him. I believe my deep interest in history had me approaching him that way i.e. talking about the facts of the resurrection and such, not the real meaning. I’m an engineer by talent and training and he is artistic. So I’m sure what I thought of as a slam dunk he got board with. I didn’t meet him at a common level.

One name came immediately to mind, my step-brother. I will pray for him daily. I am deeply concerned with him. Last June, I in great enthusiasm approached him after our mother’s funeral. I’m afraid my naive efforts pushed him further from the saving grace of God. His only response was “I don’t need a book to tell be how to be good”. He lives in Atlanta, I am in Maine but I could see him again in August.
