ParticipantI would just respond with a short and sweet answer.
“The Catholic Church teaches that Idolatry is a sin. it is impossible to unknowingly worship something, and I guarantee you that any Catholic you meet will say they do not worship idols.”January 28, 2025 at 9:56 pm in reply to: Practical Activity for Course 4: Basic Evangelization Strategies #10935Joseph Pace
ParticipantI did share my testimony and had a decent conversation with someone I don’t know. There are so many misconceptions about the faith. I feel like I might actually help people out, and show people the faith I love. it is a good feeling. I am humbled and honored to be able to do this.
James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.January 27, 2025 at 7:58 pm in reply to: Practical Activity for Course 4: Basic Evangelization Strategies #10932Joseph Pace
Participantthat is super cool! what a great story! I know Dominicans have a certain cross necklace that they can wear. I wonder if Carmelites and other 3rd order groups do to?

ParticipantI’m surprised the JW’s didn’t pickle Matthew 16:18-19 too bad in their new world translation.

Participantfor this activity, I just got done praying for a divine appointment, when my daughter started talking to me.
I decided to have a conversation with her about Jesus 🙂I’ve also been trying to reach out to 1 Catholic in particular that has fallen way from the faith. I am still waiting for the opportunity to have a conversation with this person.

ParticipantMaybe, I’ve been dialoguing online with different people about faith for many years. I’ve just never really done street evangelization.
One of the things that I do now, is ask that the Lord use me for the conversion of souls, to bring people to Jesus and his church.I love the faith and it has given me so much. I would just like to share with others the joy I have.

Participantshe said I did well. She already had a good understanding of my faith and my background.
I’m a convert to the faith, and she already knew my faith journey.January 27, 2025 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Practical Activity for Course 2: Intro to the Kerygma #10925Joseph Pace

ParticipantAwesome Question!
So Jesus’s atonement was a willing self sacrifice for the sins of the world.
it made satisfaction for the sins of the world.Jesus was essentially doing penance for us, a willing, and loving self sacrifice, which brought about redemption to mankind.
God the Father did not punish the son and send him to hell to be punished which would be the protestant Penal substitution theory.Joseph Pace
ParticipantI’m still considering the best approach but I am thinking of making a rosary for my brother.

Participantunfortunately the adoration chapel was closed at my local church. I ended up adoring our Lord in the Church.
Praying vespers, the rosary, and praying from the heart. it was a very peaceful and comforting experience.January 25, 2025 at 7:38 pm in reply to: Practical Activity for Course 5: Intro to the Spiritual Life of the Evangelist #10913Joseph Pace

ParticipantI grew up protestant, and I dialogue online regularly with protestants.
They seem to respond well to scripture. -
