I am a convert to Catholicism and came into the church in 2011. I am the only Catholic in my family so it is challenging to say the least. I respectfully share my faith in bits and pieces with my family as we have come from a Methodist background and they dont really understand why Catholic? I am excited to take the next step in evangelizing and sharing my faith more openly with the world. I am praying for my mother at this time who had been under the grip of addiction and anxiety for 30 or so years. She has some aversion to organized religion as my biological father was a minister and was abusive towards her giving a poor example of Christianity. Unfortunately this shattered her faith many years ago. Most of her days are spent sleeping and feeling no sense of worth or purpose. The holy spirit is telling me to pray more frequently and specifically for my mom. I further feel the call to encourage her to volunteer and perhaps this will allow my mother to see how valuable she is to the world and experience the love of God in others. My mother has a heart of gold! Thank you for taking the time to hear me. God Bless!
