What would you do for a billion dollars? Sell an arm? Swim with sharks? Betray a friend? Curse God? Would you be willing to sell your soul?

Jesus said, “What good is it for a person to gain the whole world, and lose their soul?” (Mark 8:36) Jesus’ words are important since He proved He was God by his miraculous, supernatural deeds. Jesus says that our wrongdoing has eternal consequences. In an act of great mercy, Jesus paid the cost of our sin by suffering and dying on the cross to save us from the anguish of hell. He rose again so that by faith in Him we might be saved.

What will your response be to this truly loving act by your Creator? Will you choose the momentary pleasures of the world or will you choose the everlasting joy of Heaven? Acknowledge your sins to God, tell Him you are sorry, and have faith in Jesus. Come, and join the Church Jesus Christ established, the Catholic Church (Matt 16:18-19). It’s your choice, heaven or hell.
