One Good Reason Course 1 – Lesson 7 Transcript

So now you know what One Good Reason is and how it can be helpful when engaging in conversational evangelization. Remember: One Good Reason can’t make you an expert evangelist. Only study, experience, and the grace of God can do that. What One Good Reason can do, in a conversation, is help you think about the good reason that you can use in proclaiming the truth to a particular person, and help you, in a pinch, to transition to that proclamation from earlier stages of the conversation.

But also, before the conversation starts, or in between conversations, One Good Reason can help you focus your study of apologetics and focus how you think through your personal testimonies. It can help you focus on the reasons for your beliefs. As such, it can be effective as one small part of your larger efforts to grow as an effective evangelist.

Finally, don’t forget to make your “good reasons” and testimonies meaningful, truthful and compelling. In the remaining lessons of this module, we will examine several categories of people that you might encounter in your work of evangelization, and some of the “good reasons,” or apologetics, that you might use with them.
