ParticipantI have shared my testimony a number of times to individuals and groups. A number of people said they were inspired, all thanks to Him. The short version of my testimony follows:
As a youth I grew up a faith filled Catholic. But I strayed from Jesus starting in college, and stopped going to church. I had one-foot following Jesus … or what I thought was following Jesus. And the other foot was following the path of sin in the world, moving away from Jesus. I was lukewarm; unsure of my purpose in life; and worried that I was going to hell. Soon after I was married, I was pulled into a bible group, and I started to suck up and understand the Bible for the first time. The words started to make sense and resonated with me. Then after days of praying for Jesus to reveal Himself to me for affirmation, He did so (in His time, not mine) through a vision that only could be from God. He said I had to decide whether to follow Him, and He asked me to trust Him and to follow Him. At that point my life was transformed, or some people would say “born-again”. Since then I have a purpose and joy that I never had before. Thanks and Praise to God.

ParticipantI currently have a prayer life in the morning and during the day, including meditation on Scripture. During this time, I seek His will, contemplate the daily Readings and Gospel along with a commentary, reflect on the Litany or Humility and pray the Holy Spirit Novena I have recently included prayer time before bed. Morning prayer and meditation keeps me grounded in Him, and my day seems to go better with prayer. In evening prayer, we try to give Him thanks for everything He did for us that day. Prayer is an essential and necessary part in my growth in Holiness over the years.
And currently for the last 7 years I have attended one hour a week in adoration. Adoration is one of the key places I seek His will, and where some of my most intimate relations with Him take place.
I try to perform intercessory prayer every day, including for the salvation of souls, along with the rosary. He called me to do that about 3 years ago.
All praise and thanks go to Him.Howard Mendelson
ParticipantI pray for my adult son and daughter that they become followers of Christ and learn to do His will for them.
BTW, I appreciate the tips on how to evangelize, especially the follow-up. I think the follow-up, sometimes, is important for people to continue on their journey. -
