I’ve been interceding for my 93 year old grandfather who rejected the church in his 60s and my estranged wife without any significant apparent results so far. I probably need to do some more sacrifices for them. When I encountered this exercise my friend Matt popped into my head even before I prayed. So I will add him to the list. He is a non-denominal Christian and struggling with mental illness. He’s now in a mental hospital. He’s open to Catholicism and I did some sacrifices for him and it seemed to help. So I will continue.

I hear that. Political obsessions are really driving people away from the joy, peace and adventure that comes with the devoted life. Seems like a problem that’s increasingly common.
