The situation sounds disappointing. Pray for whoever is that person to pull your mother back in to come along.

    Hi Jeremy,
Do you live near your mother? Perhaps she would be amenable to going to Mass with you. Is she connected to the parish? If the parish is up and running in terms of offering programs to help with growing in faith or knowledge of Our Lord or his Holy Church, maybe you could accompany her to some of those sessions. Something like that may give her the chance to get to know some of the parishioners better, making more of a connection to the parish and, even more important, we can hope that the program would deepen her relationship with Jesus Christ. If you go with her, perhaps you can draw her out about what was presented afterward.

I am praying for conversion for many family members, but one couple in particular came to mind when I was praying about this practical activity. One went to Catholic elementary school and received the sacraments through Confirmation. I do not believe that the spouse has been catechised at all and is not a believer. They were not married in the Church. I have been praying for Our Lord to draw them to himself various times throughout the day. They know that I am an active believing Catholic. Not wanting to challenge our relationship, while I look for entries, I try to avoid being tiresome about my faith. One thing that I pray for all of the family members who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church, is that someone else who shares the faith and with whom they will have some camaraderie, will come into their lives and that that relationship will stir their interest in God.
