I have been really praying that my parents go back to church, especially as they get older. I have been praying that my sister and brother also turn to Christ because they think that the Catholic church is against them since they have same sex attractions.. I also our Blessed Mother that she intercedes for them so that they can stop focusing on the worldly view of being obsessed with politics, and have true worry about their salvation and love with Christ! Once we all pass, the only love we will find is in God. No worldly power or political party will help you once you are used up like a string of floss and tossed out.
Everyone now and then I will bring up God with them.. and my brother and sister deny my conversation, so I just shake the dust off my feet and move on. All I can do is pray and that their souls are in the hand of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit will always be with us as long as we continue to grow and keep his graces! The most noble acts we can do as Christians is bring souls closer to Christ.

I have been praying at mass consistently for some time now for a sign or a clue on how I could further serve Jesus Christ and bring souls closer to him. I wished for a sign and I believe I had gotten one! Which led me to this excellent and devoted apostolate.

I hear Catholic podcasts typically when I am in my car, and 80 % of it goes through one ear and out the other because I typically work out of my car or I am focused on safely driving. When I was in my car a little over a week ago, hearing the podcast Every Knee shall Bow, I was not really listening to the material being talked about. I was distracted on my phone with Facebook or texting.

Then my mind paid sharp attention to the podcast, and the hosts spoke about Saint Paul Street Evangelization. Out of the whole podcast episode, hearing about Saint Paul Street Evangelization was probably the only thing I remember! So I looked into the apostolate and their methods, and I was intrigued about it.

There were no teams nearby so I decided to form the first team in my area! My area has many Catholics and “nones” that need to be guided to the church. My area also has a shrine, Basilica of Our Lady de San Juan Del Valle. I am excited to get things started with this apostolate!

I have been starting out my day praying the Holy Rosary and reading Sacred Scripture for a while now.. and it brings me great joy and peace! I find peace and joy that comforts me throughout the day in this world of everything must be done now society. I started doing Night Prayer before bed and sometimes do not pray because my eyes just can’t stay open! This is something I need to work on. After reviewing this lesson, I realized that I go all day without any prayer.. and I believe that should be fixed! I have iBreviary app on my phone and I want to start praying daytime prayer sometime in the afternoon. This lesson opened my eyes to how much I was slacking in prayer

I have a friend named Nick who has never been baptized. He says he is a Christian but when I found out that he has never been baptized, I immediately invited him to mass at my parish. He was going to a non denomination church with his ex girlfriend, and I tried many times then to have him go with me to mass. One day when we were hanging out, I told him the many truths of the Catholic faith and how all of our beliefs are biblical. I told him that the Catholic Church has been in the world since Jesus, and that Jesus Christ is the founder! I felt confident in my message to him and he later went to mass with me. I am going to keep helping him so he could obtain baptism and become a disciple of Christ!

I have shared my personal conversion stories before with others, but I will recount my conversion story from the many conversations I have had with my pastor, and my confessor. Father Greg is an amazing person, he understands, guides, leads and provides very practical advice, especially on the advice on overcoming sin or habitual sin. I have told him that although I was baptized Catholic around the age of 7, I grew up not knowing God or going to church. My parents never took me to church and I have gone most of my life without attending mass or in prayer. For many years, I had my “demons”. I was that type of guy that would did not care with what I did or if I ended up hurting someone emotionally, especially when I used to have alot of rage in my life. I one day contemplated on what would happen to my family if I was not alive anymore (I thought this because of my career as a police officer and the inherit dangers to the job). Even though I had my wife and son, I still did not feel fulfilled, I felt like I did not do a good enough job at being a husband and father. When I started to learn to pray, learn my faith, I came back to the church and learned about the Catholic faith so fast, I felt like I couldnt slow down! I started to take my wife with me to confession, I started to tell her of the certain beliefs in the Catholic faith and it had just grew from there. I was already confirmed and married in the church but I realized that my life was empty without the Holy Spirit guiding me as a Christian, a father and a husband. Father Greg has heard my numerous confessions and the man I used to be. He told me that to be a saint, it will not become instant, it is a transformation. He said to be thankful to God and his graces and I can become a saint one day.

I shared what I learned about the kerygma with a close friend who will evangelize with me when we start soon. The 4 step plan of the kerygma is an excellent method and I intend to use the 4 step model when I evangelize.

Nowadays, people just want to hear what they want to hear, so by telling them the truth, even the bad news for those souls who do no repent and believe in Christ, you are actually doing a great justice. The truth is what we are about and Jesus is truth. By proclaiming the truth and love of Christ, I am sure that we can draw more people to the church.

Excellent and practical lesson to Evangelization. The final prayer for the ministry we are going to be involved in was great and the instructor was excellent in her explanation of who are Evangelists and what their purpose is.
