Fátima is an excellent reference point for evangelization. In it, we have a veritable treasure of grace that witnesses to the existence and wonders of God, eliciting the response of faith. In it, we have a sure point of reference to God, which offers us the surety of salvation and of the timeless truths of perennial Catholic teaching that show us how to live uprightly before God. At the same time, it is a living manifestation of Jesus’ desire from the cross to give us His mother, she who takes us by the hand and shows us the way to her Son.
The evangelist can rely upon the message of Fátima to aid him or her in the much-needed work of bringing a wayward world back to its God. Like the prodigal son in the Gospel of St. Luke (Luke 16), the world has lost its way and degraded itself amid the temptations of the flesh, of greed, and of pride. Live the message of Fátima and you will be a better witness to Jesus Christ and more fruitful in bringing souls back to God. It has been an honor to share this message with you.
