Practical Activity
It’s time to put what we’ve learned into practice. Use everything you’ve learned in this lesson to go deeper in devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist. The activity has 5 steps:
- Attend Eucharistic Adoration at a local parish or chapel. Make sure to bring with you Thomas à Kempis’ The Imitation of Christ.
- Read one or two chapters from Book Four of the Imitation. We recommend chapter 11 in particular, but you may use another.
- After reading, spend some time in prayer, reflecting upon what you have read. Ask Jesus to help increase your devotion to Him in the Holy Eucharist, and to help you to spread the knowledge and love of Him to others.
- Consider ways in which you might share the gospel with others using your knowledge and experience of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. Do you have a personal testimony to share? A special insight? A verse or two from the Bible? Write down your ideas and share one or more of them with someone.
- When you are ready, please post in the Community Forums about your experience doing this practical activity. There is a specific topic created for this. Also, give a constructive question or comment about the lesson, or somebody else’s post on their experience doing the practical activity. All of this is required for your Theology of Evangelization module certificate of completion!
