Jesus’ gift of Himself in the Holy Eucharist is truly the most amazing gift! The Eucharistic Covenant brings us into a “family” with our Redeemer and Savior. It is incomprehensible in understanding His Love for us being that we are sinners and yet, when in a state of grace, He unites Himself to us in the Eucharist. We are nourished by Him and united to Him making us “Little Anointed Ones” and “Little Christs” for which with Christian maturity, we can take Him out into the world to proclaim the Good News! I purchased the Imitation of Christ and meditated on the prescribed chapters during adoration. I saw the Eucharistic host in a completely new light. It encompasses all of Christ – His Life, Death, Resurrection, Ascension and all that He promises to those of us who believe in Him. We are so blessed by Him, in all that He has given to us and all that He continues to give us through the sacraments and through grace and mercy. How can we not share our joy with others? It is impossible not to do so.
